- Welcome to A Rose and A Star. The rose represents my daughter Makenna and the star represents my daughter Estella. My hopes are for this Blog to reflect my experiences with each of them. I am fortunate to have each them as they have allowed me to experience two VERY different roads in life. The road of "Special Needs Parenting" and the road of what I hope to be "Typical Parenting".
